First-home buyers and pensioners entering Victoria’s property market may be eligible for the duty reductions, concessions and exemptions we administer.
This year, thousands of Victorians from both metropolitan Melbourne and regional areas applied for assistance.
Since 2012, we have administered in excess of $748 million in duty reduction savings to 114,200 first-home buyers across the state. This includes more than half a billion dollars to 83,000 Melbourne recipients, and a further $162 million to 31,000 recipients in regional Victoria.
In 2016-17 alone, we delivered benefits to about 9500 pensioners who received almost $120 million in savings when buying their home.
